Win 95, 98, 00, and NT

1: When you first insert the CD, if you have autorun enabled, it will start
the "New and easy to use GUI MENU".

2: If this is the first time you are using the CD on a fresh computer,

please install the appropriate  ADOBE ACROBAT Reader if not
already on the system. Also read the README.TXT and HELP.TXT
   for more info.

3: If you do not see this screen, then open your CD-ROM drive in
"MY COMPUTER" and double click on SETUP.EXE.

4: From here on, you will need to click on "NAVIGATE THE 3/S CD"
to view the manuals. Click on BROWSE THIS CD to, you guessed it!

browse the CD. Look around, there is some fun stuff on it!

To make it even easier to view the manuals,

1: Do step #4 and "RIGHT CLICK and HOLD" the mouse button
on "NAVIGATE.PDF" and DRAG IT TO YOUR DESKTOP.
Now, just double click the icon on the desktop, and enjoy! (with
CD inserted of course! This SAME ICON will also work with the

    DSM CD)

The CAPS program is the file called SETUP.EXE in the VIEWERS folder.

If you can't use the GUI menu to run the file, just find it in windows
explorer, and run it. After you do that, you can get to it from your START menu.

LINUX Installation

This has been tested on RED HAT LINUX, as well as CALDERA
OPENDESKTOP LINUX.

1: Make a temporary directory to hold the Acrobat install files

        > mkdir acroinst          (example temp directory name)

2: Mount your CD-ROM (type "man mount" for more info on mounting)

> mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

3: From your TEMP directory (in this case, /acroinst/ ) type;

        /acroinst/> tar zxvf /mnt/cdrom/VIEWERS/LINUX/ACROREAD_LINUX_301_TAR.Z

4: Do an "ls" to make sure that there are files in this directory now,
    then type;

        /acroinst/> ./INSTALL

5: Follow the instructions, and install in the default Acrobat directory.

6: Once ACROBAT is installed, run the executable by typing this.

        > /usr/local/Acrobat3/bin/acroread

7: This will hopefully bring up ACROBAT READER. From here, it's
pretty self explanatory, go to FILE, then OPEN, and point to the
/mnt/cdrom/ directory and double click on NAVIGATE.PDF.

A little harder, but possible! Create a symbolic link or script to
easily view the manual(s) with a single command!

Windows 3.1x

WHAT! Your still on this!?!? :) Don't worry, most of the CD works!

Go to this directory

[YOUR CDROM LETTER]:\viewers\Win3x

and run the file

rs16e301.exe

This will run the Acrobat Reader for Win3x. After installation,
just run it and open NAVIGATE.PDF from the CD-ROM!

Sorry, the HTML stuff doesn't work, this is due to long filenames.

Macintosh/PPC

I personally have never installed either CD on this platform, but
the only thing Mac users have complained about is that the HTML
sections would not work well, again, due to LONG FILENAMES.
The CD is in the JOLIET format, if that helps you. The viewer for
Macs is located in

       [YOUR CDROM]\VIEWERS\MAC

The filename is

        ARWS301E_SEA.BIN
or

RS405ENG.BIN

Caps Installation
