I was really excited after buying the Talon wheels from a parts car thinking that even though they are probably heavier than the Laser rim and hubcap they will make my car look much better. After driving home to Toronto from Chicago with a transmission and 4 of these wheels with tires mounted I weighed them up to assess the damage. First the Talon, an even 50lbs with Yokohama 205/55/16's. Next the Laser.......47lbs with the hubcap...what the hell???? Upon closer inspection I found that the Talon wheel is simply hard foam moulded onto the same steel rim that the Laser uses. The foam is coated with a thick aluminum colored paint and that's it.
